Vote Tuesday, June 12th!
Tuesday, June 12th is primary election day to nominate the Democratic and Republican candidates for local and federal office.
Alexandrians voting in the Democratic primary will have the opportunity to vote for Mayor and all six City Council positions. Those voting in the Republican primary will cast their vote for US Senate.
Arlingtonians voting in the Democratic primary will have the opportunity to select their county board candidate. Those voting in the Republican primary will cast their vote for US Senate.
I am proud to support Matt de Ferranti as the Democratic nominee for Arlington County Board.
Matt has a keen mind for local issues reinforced by a history of service and engagement with Arlington County. He has the judgment, values, and experience to make an excellent Arlington County Board member.
Don’t just take it from me:
Blue Virginia calls Matt a “responsible, reliable, fair-minded, calm, sensible, thoughtful, consensus-oriented and pragmatically progressive.”
On Election Day, all polling places are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. As long as you are in line by 7:00 p.m. , you will be allowed to vote. For your vote to count, you need to be at the correct polling place.
Virginia law now requires voters to show acceptable Photo ID to vote in person. Your acceptable Photo ID is the only thing you are required to show to vote in person. For a list of acceptable photo-IDs and information about obtaining a free photo ID through your local voter registration office (even on election day!), visit http://www.elections.virginia.gov/voter-outreach/photo-id.html.
