2019 SESSION REPORTS

As the 2018 General Assembly legislative session began on January ninth, it was my honor to again serve the people of Alexandria, Arlington, Mount Vernon and Lee in the state legislature.

I have introduced nearly twenty five bills to move Virginia forward on a wide array of issues, including criminal justice reform, marijuana decriminilzation, and protecting domestic violence victims, and have also reintroduced legislation to codify nondiscrimination protections for state employees and allow future Governors to serve two consecutive terms, as Virginia is the only state in the nation that limits its executive to a single consecutive term in office.

I am proud to continue serving on the General Laws and Technology Committee, the Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources Committee, and the Privileges and Elections Committee, where I will continue to make progress towards the conservation both of nature, and of our democracy.
