Adam Ebbin Leads Pack in Final Fundraising Period

ALEXANDRIA, VA —  The latest Virginia campaign finance reports, which were released today, show Adam Ebbin significantly outraised his two opponents in the race for the 30th State Senate District during the period between July 1 and August 10.

“The outpouring of support I have received since entering this race has been truly humbling. I am very thankful to the hundreds of Virginians who have invested in this endeavor. I look forward to turning their support in this campaign into progress in the Senate on the values we share,” said Ebbin.

Between July 1 and August 10, Ebbin raised $61,935, far out performing his nearest rival, Arlington School Board Member Libby Garvey, who raised $53,492. Alexandria Councilman Rob Krupicka raised $42,351 and lent $10,000 to his own campaign. Ebbin enters the race’s closing days with $48,407 on hand, a critical $17,000 advantage over each of his opponents.

“Adam has raised resources for his campaign by reaching out to local activists and groups that share Northern Virginia's progressive priorities. This final report drives home what our campaign is seeing in the field: voters are just now tuning in to the election, and they're impressed by Adam's commitment to our community and record of success in the General Assembly,” said Ebbin campaign manager Kirk McPike.

The Democratic primary for State Senate in the 30th district will be held next Tuesday, August 23. Voters may vote at their regular polling location from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm. Early voting continues at local Voter Registrar's offices until Saturday.
